MRS MOON BLOG

World Wide Wool

June 19, 2010

It's been a long slog, but at last our new site is up and running!  We've been working for weeks trying to get everything that is in the shop on the site and hopefully you'll think that we have done a good job.

Our aim from the start has been to make a visit to the site just like a visit to the shop, so you'll find lots of our recommendations dotted around and more to come as we are adding things each day.

We have also made it easy to buy all the yarn and needles that you need with individual patterns in just one click - we've added our favourite needles or those we think are the best for the job, but you can easily substitute your own favourite if you want to.  This feature will be available on our best-selling pattern books soon, so watch this space.

We are so thrilled that the site is done and want to thank in particular Sophie, The Gingerbread Lady http://www.gingerbread-lady.co.uk/ , for the beautiful design and Matthew and everyone at Infomagnet http://infomagnet.com/ for pulling it all together on the technical side.... they have been brilliant to work with and understood our wooliness from the start!

Have a browse around and let us know what you think....

Open at last....!

November 16, 2009

We are open! Our hours for now are 10am to 5pm Tuesdays to Saturdays. We are also open on Sunday 6th December when there is a street fair in St Margarets - see www.mystmargarets.com for details. We've met some lovely people over the last few days and look forward to meeting many more over the coming weeks and months. Not to be too Oscar-like, but we have so many people to thank for helping us get the shop off the ground, in particular Kate, Tim and James for helping us with everything and being there to support us when things went wrong, Mick, Stefan, Steve and Adam for refurbishing the shop, Simon and the St Margarets Traders Association for lots of support, advice and publicity and all our children for putting up with slightly stressed Mummies over the last few months.
