This is a great fun hat by Susan B Anderson. Suitable for an advanced beginner it is knitted in the round, either on circular needles or double points and would be a great first seamless project for anyone.

Yarn:

Spud & Chloe Outer and scraps of yarn for face (pattern suggests Spud & Chloe Sweater, but any super chunky yarn would do)

Sizes:

0-6 months, (6-12 months, 1-2 years, 2- 5 years)

Needles:

8mm 40cm circular needle or 8mm double pointed needles for size 0-6 months. 4.5mm needles, 5mm crochet hook

Extras:

stitch marker, stitch holder, sewing up needle, (the pattern also suggests a 5mm crochet hook to make the ear tufts)

Tension:

11 sts and 16 rows per 10cm in stocking stitch
